A library card is free if you live, work or go to school in Milton, otherwise membership costs $35.00.
You will be asked to show identification which shows your name and proof of one of the following:
- Current home address in Milton
- Employment in Milton
- Full-time registration at a school or college in Milton
Cards from Burlington, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Oakville or Wellington County libraries may also be used here.

Optionally, you may purchase a set of 3 key tags for your convenience for $3.00. Give a key tag to family members you would like to pick up your holds or put the tag on your key ring so it is always handy.
Are you an existing library card holder and would like to have a set of key tags? No problem! Just turn in your existing card for a new one and purchase the matching barcoded key tags for $3.00.
Providing your library card or key tag to another person is consent to use your library card and have access to your patron record.
Lost Card
If you lose your library card and/or key tag please notify us, as you are responsible for all material
signed out on your card.
There is a $2.00 charge for the replacement of a lost or damaged
card plus $3.00 for those also replacing key tags.
